Great River Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

The Great River Region is a ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) which seeks to build up the Body of Christ and strengthen the ministries of Disciples of Christ congregations in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

The Charter for Compassion is a document that transcends religious, ideological, and national difference. Supported by leading thinkers from many traditions, the Charter activates the Golden Rule around the world. 
Lucie's Place is a shelter for homeless LGBTQ youth. Lucie’s Place provides homeless LGBTQ young adults in Central Arkansas with safe living environments, job training and counseling services in order to ensure lifelong stability and success, and works to promote equality and acceptance for LGBTQ young adults.
Our House provides the working homeless – individuals and families – with shelter, housing, job training, education, free childcare and summer youth programs, in order to equip them with the skills to be successful in the workforce, the community and their own families. "The Jubilee Fund exists to educate and empower Pastors and their Households to: Lead debt-free, generous lives of great stewardship; Teach others the joy of generous, responsible living; Create a culture of seeing and believing God’s abundance and ability to transform the world; Respond to the call of God in discerning ministry opportunities instead of making a financial decision."

Lifequest of Arkansas
Founded in 1981; a volunteer-based, non-profit dedicated to enhancing life's journey through the middle and later years through life-long learning and meaningful volunteerism within the community.


A Local Food Club that connects members with the local food system. Our buying cooperative, in conjunction with other fantastic local food programs, can help stock your kitchen year-round. Healthy, accessible local food and viable local farming operations are cornerstones of a more sustainable community.
